Fees

At Kapwa Counselling & Psychotherapy Services, we use a standard fee schedule that we share before services begin. Our fees are based on clinician level, session length, and the amount of work involved, including case complexity, preparation time, and report writing or care coordination.

Fee ranges

  • Student Therapists: $50-80 per 50 min session $75–125 per 75 min session

  • RP (Qualifying) ‍ ‍
    $100–180 per 50 min session
    $150–240 per 75 min session

  • Registered Psychotherapist
    $160–180 per 50 min session
    $225–325 per 75 min session

What the ranges mean

  • Lower end: simpler sessions with less preparation and no extra documentation.

  • Middle of the range: standard ongoing therapy.

  • Higher end: more complex cases, longer sessions, or sessions that require extra preparation, report writing, or coordination.

Sliding scale

We may offer a lower fee on a case-by-case basis when cost is a barrier. This is based on financial need, not on insurance coverage. Insurance coverage does not increase your fee.

Payment and billing

We offer secure payment options and direct billing where available. Payment methods and billing details are reviewed with you before services begin. If you have questions about a fee, invoice, or insurance claim, we’re happy to go over it with you.

A few examples

  • A straightforward student therapist session with minimal prep may be near the lower end of the range.

  • A qualifying RP session that involves extra planning or documentation may be in the middle or higher end.

A client experiencing financial hardship may be offered a reduced fee within the posted range.

Cancellation and missed session fees

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed sessions, are charged at the full session rate.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without letting us know in advance, your appointment will be marked as a no-show and the full session fee will apply.

This policy helps us keep our schedule fair for all clients and protect appointment time that has been reserved for you.
